Default Roll Pin

anyone know how to remove the bitch pin from the shift linkage? it looks like the bottom part of the pin (roll pin) is larger so it can only go one way? Is this true? what side do I take it out from?

its just a spring pin. you need a punch, and an 8mm one will work

Drift punch, not tapered punch. A 10mm bolt (has 8mm threads) will work in a pinch. Watch out for your fingies!

actually the 10mm headed bolts are 6x1.00 metric, the 12mm heads are the 8x1.00's i believe.

basically he is saying a straight punch. tapered wont get it out far enough.

wouldn't it be easier to just remove the shift linkage at the shifter? does that even have to be done?

When I did my swap I couldn't get that bitch pin out so I undid it at the shifter and pulled it out with the motor. Once it was out I then got the pin out no problem at all.

you can use a punch pin, but i like to use the 10mm bolt. only takes about 3-4 hits with the hammer

I machined an 8mm piloted tip for an air chisel. It works like a champ.
