Default Euro-R Engine mods

I'm looking into modding my Euro-R a little bit but i'm not sure what i should do. The Euro-R gets its extra horse power from its cams, intake manifold and pistons right? Anything else? I don't wanna upgrade anything that is unnecesary. I'm going n/a for sure. I was thinking of getting new valves, springs and retainers or would that be one of my unwanted mods that the Euro-R already has upgraded ones?. Maybe a new fly wheel and clutch but will probably wait til later on for that. Any input is appreciated.

i'll trade you my H22a for that motor.. it comes modded already
but seriously.. i wouldn't touch the bottom end since it already has 11:1 compression, if i had your engine i would buy JUN cams + valvetrain and a quality header over $900 and definitly an exhaust to match it

well as far as i know, the cams are where some of that extra horse power comes from. Would it be worth it to still upgrade the cams?

I was thinking of getting a blox valvetrain. Would that yield any extra horse power of the euro-r valvetrain? Also, i was wondering the same thing about blox cams. Jun is a bit to expensive for me.

indeed Just cause i have a Euro-R doens't mean i'm rich. Blox cams, camgears and valvetrain are about $1100 for everything. What would all that cost for Jun, about twice as much? I wasn't even planning on getting cams right now unless the blox cams are a lot better than stock Euro-R ones. I was wondering about the blox valvetrain as well, if it would be worth getting on a Euro-R.

valvetrain (valve, springs, retainers) doesn't give u any extra horsepower, just let you take your motor at higher rpm with more reliability and maybe with the some mod you gonna get mor hp at those rpms... unless you are getting the flat head type valves wich are increasing compression a lil bit= few more horses...

as for the cams Jun are about $1100(cams only) but are the best cams you can get for your motor and you should expect gains up to 17-20 hp with those...

so if i where you i wouldn't get any cheap cams, i would wait a litle more to save some money to get the jun...

Like the others said
1. Jun valvetrain
2. Quailty header with exhaust
3.6puck clutch with lightweight flywheel
4. Some type of aftermarket intake
5. Dyno tuned with aem ems, hondata etc.

Now that would be nice little all motor car.

Although euro-r has upgraded cams, there still made for street, emissions and gas mileage. If it were my motor i would probaly keep the idle lobes pretty much stock and have the vtec lobes pretty beefy so that you would be able to pass smog with the motor.

NO BLOX! i would rather have stock than that crap. like they say, you get what you pay for. buy blox parts and you're in for a world of pain. just save up and buy parts worth your money. don't mess up a euro-r!

I've heard BLOX did a pretty damn good job at duplicating skunk2.

Take your engine and do this..

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by delLudeVTEC &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">
Like the others said

</TD></TR></TABLE>

and you will have this.. Blue line..

You would have the exact same build as me, 233whp, 170tq..

why cause they don't come in a box that says JUN? I'm sure crower has the means necessary to buy their cams, take some measurements, and knock out an exact replica.

reputable companies make quality parts, rip off companies make rip off parts. you can fight what i have to say all you want, but you can't deny you get what you pay for...

The Jun valve train only consists of springs and retainers? I looked around a little bit and didn't see any places selling Jun valves. And Honda318dk, just curious, what kinda gas mileage do you get with your set up?
