i was driving my car to hooters today and apparently when my fuel gauge is on a 1/4 that means empty!! right b4 a gas station(thank good) my car started choking out from, well no fuel. i filled the tank up completely now and the engine is acting really funky. it accelerates slow, revs slow, and doesnt sound good at all. at the moment it is sitting in my garage being undriven until i figure out wat to do. any ideas

replace the fuel filter. probly sucked up some dirt from the tank and it came into the filter. had that happen to me before.

 

are you sure you were running out of gas? could it have been your fuel pump dying? how much gas did it take to top off the tank?

 

i didnt top off the tank so im not exactly sure since i didnt have enough money

 

and i just put in a new walbro fuel pump so i highly doubt it, i have already gone through that whole ordeal

yeah change your filter first then go from there. More than likely you sucked up some nasty stuff from the bottom of the tank and clogged it up. I wouldn't think so but there is a chance that the new gas could've had water in it and make things worse.

 

im ordering my new filter tmrw and will put on my msd meanwhile!
