My car has been idling low (100-300 rpms) for awhile. Sometimes it idles fine and sometimes it idles rough. The check engine light finally came on so I brought it to honda and told me that purge control solenoid was weak and to come back and replace it when it comes on again. They also checked the idle and said it was fine (wtf?). 2 hours later my car is idling low again then a week later the check engine light is back on again. I just wanted to make sure before I replace it that it does indeed affect my idle and gas mileage. I don't want to replace it and my car is still idling low. Does anyone know?
