Default gc/koni yellow combo -- 92 civic

so everyone raves about the gc/koni.. so i decided i'm going to go with it. my car is 90% daily driver and i was was just wondering if the off-the-shelf gc and koni's are good enough? is this set up overkill for a daily driver? i want to rip corners and still be able to retain ride comfort.. what do you guys suggest?

stock rates on the ground-control kit is 380F/280R, so for a daily driver it'd probably work very well. if 380/280 isn't what you want, just buy two new rear springs to raise them if yuo want better response from rear, thats the great thing about GC/Koni, you can customize it how you want it.

that kit is $299, the Road Race one where you custom pick rates is $339.

since i'm low on cash, i was planning to buy the GC's first and save up for koni yellows later. i saw on the website that there's also a specific GC made to fit the koni shocks.. what should i do? get g/c's, ride on stock shocks until i can afford konis or wait and get the gc's made specifically for the koni's?

Absoloutly, positivley, without a doubt wait to get the coil-overs that match the Koni shocks. If you don't, you will have to buy a second set of sleeves & special adapter rings to make your existing springs & nuts work on the Koni's. Your other option would be to spend slightly more money & buy the Koni specific sleeves & their matching gold nuts (avoids using the adapter ring). I ended up doing the later of the two because I rode on GC's & stock shocks for 4 years.

It definently made upgrading to the Koni sports more expensive than necissary (good thing I had a birthday around then )...
