seems like a decision based solely on if you have the money to do this, and if you have the patience or your looking for more hp ASAP, you just asked us, if you should either turbo your 130 hp engine, or get a engine with more hp, and then turbo it. of course id say go with the H22, but thats if you have the money to not only do an engine swap but also add a turbo to it, if you dont have the money, then turbo the F22 instead of having a H22 stock.

biggest question: how much money do you have?

turbo'd F will make gobs of torque, adding the H swap will add at least $2500 to your money output.

says the guy who was turbo'd for 3 days and smoked his motor.

just kidding - I have no idea how long you had the kit on

it is expensive and becomes a money pit in the long run. if you can restrain yourself from ever turning the boost up and keep it at 6-8 psi w/ decent management a stock motor will be OK for a long time.

but it's really hard to restrain yourself once you get used to the power and want MORE, knowing it's just a few clicks of the MBC away...

Way to kick a guy while he's down

I had it on for about 4 months and she ran really strong. Once I upgraded the fuel system and fine tuned it, that's when it blew. I would experience fuel cut around 4500 on stock system so I would shift there. Once it was upgraded and tuned, I rapped it out to 6K a couple of times and the rest is history.

If u want to turbo the h22, i belive u have to resleeve it, b.c the sleeves on the h22 are way weaker then the f22b2. Atleast thats what i have always been told.. If u have gobs of money then the obvious answer is go with h22, resleeve it and then turbo it. if your very limited and just want to have power so you arent having only 130 hp pulln your car then go f22b2 truboed. If your engine breaks down or whatever f22's are a dime a dozen

I've got a question about that too since next weekend I'm swaping my old f22b2 with '97 fresh motor...

Where I can find more info about f22 turbo mod? Are there any kits avaliable? How much (overall cost with tuning, etc) it would cost? Is it diy project or rather leave it for the pros? Thx.

there are a TON of threads on this matter. the cheapest way would be to build a junkyard kit out of DSM parts. you could get a DSM 2g blow off valve, 16g/14b/t whatever you want turbo, wastegate (get rid of the factory wastegates), your ic pipeing, starion fmic perhaps, ummmm other stuff... most importantly GET PROPER FUEL MANAGEMENT AND A PROPER TUNE. personally, i would set $3 - $5k aside for a turbo project. you never know whats going to happen... besides, i was in the process of building my motor before my car was totaled so i would personally do that before i turbo'd. you don't really have to if you keep boost levels ~10psi.

im goin with the h22 turbo...its gona be expensive i know, but i want to be able to beat faster cars than dodge trucks and rex's. its kinda imbarrising when u read kill storys of f22s and its allways trucks or shitty civics .no offence to those with f22s tho..theres advantages and disadvantages to all the motors its really just personal opinion on witch one u go with...id say just do a lot of research ... u kinda have to find out for ur self.

First of all I wanted to apologize to notoriousB or w/e... I'm new to this and just wanted to thank ya'll for all the help and comments. I believe I'm just goin' to turbo the f22 and get the proper fuel management and take it from there. If it detonates, oh well, I suppose the h22 project will come around. Thanks.
