s2k vs. civic #2 (jk)
So...
This is also a "I'm looking to buy a s2k thread." I found one with 60k miles (white with red interior --> gotta love that).
But who I want to hear from are previous hybrid Civic owners. I currently drive a 96 HB with a B18C (R spec). I like it a lot, but I feel like it's time for me to step it up a notch. I personally never rode in a s2000 so I'm not exactly familiar with the "oh sh*t" factor in them.
Long story short --> What made you hybrid Civic owners switch to s2k?
(Hope not all replies are "it's not a Civic" posts)

Owned a fully built Del Sol with a b18c-r. Spoon rods and oversized pistons, Skunk 2 head package w/ stg 2 cams, and a Toda header, blah, blah, blah.
After I got into an S2000, forgot I owned it.
I switched because it got old. You get a different type of look from people when yuo drive an S2000, dare I say some what classier?
BTW: Your thread topic is retarded, not even close to funny.

cry me a river, build a bridge and get over it. wasn't trying to be hilarious.
just looking for honest opinions. btw how're the rides in s2k's? i'm a bit sick of the noisiness of the civic.

If you don't want noisy why are you looking at a convertable?
Either way S2000>best Civic in the World

I told you in my first post. It's like comparing apples and oranges. The S2000 is a beast compared to a Civic or even my Sol. The handling, the convertible, the cockpit interior. All around it's a nice car.
Parts are expensive and never in stock FYI.

Here is a thought--go test drive one.

There's your mistake. Go drive one even, then come back. You see people giving **** to the ones posting "Hey I just bought one!"?

well the two cars that i'm looking at are both 150 and 300 miles away so to test drive those specific cars would be pretty much unrealistic.
it's a shame only one person actually answered my original question.

lol...heres a short and sweet version of my typical reply...driving a civic, regardless of what kind, is still driving a civic...its an econo car with ***** (from what you described)...the S2000 is a sports car, it does not ride comfortably (compared to a real comfortable car), its noisy with the top up, and its small...but its a sports car, and it performs like a sports car, not like an econo car with *****.
My wife and i owned a civic before having the S2000, we still have friends with any kind of hybrid civic you can describe pretty much...and out of them all, even the ones with alot of horsepower and turbo's, they just dont have the sports car feel, they are quick, some can walk away from our (or used to be our) s2000 in a straight line, but the drive is totally different.
S2000 = Sports car
Civic = Economy car
