Default Cam Gears

I've heard that AEM cam gears break. I was thinking about unorthodox racing ones. What do you guys suggest ?

Skunk 2's are very nice cam gears. I have them on my H23, but i think one may be loose because my idle has been messed up since they were put on.

Skunk 2's are a 6 bolt design as compared to the AEM 4 bolt and 5 bolt designs.

Cam gears wont do you any good unless you plan on tuning them on a dyno.

Camshafts, valvetrain, maybe type s pistons.......and get it tuned.

Then maybe port and polished head.

What is your goal for the car? I say save your $$$$ until you know for sure, otherwise you'll buy stuff you will later regret.

Good advice, i bought a lot of turbo parts and regret it now because i dont have time to maintain a turbo'd car and now I am selling them and taking a huge loss. Know what you want to do before you begin.

Porting does not help you make peak hp.
