Ok, I did a search, well, numerous searches but I didn't quite find what I was looking for.

Is it possible to use an automatic engine harness on an engine with a manual transmission? (without having to add/subtract wires)

And if not, what needs to be added or cut off, etc.

The car in question is a 1990 Civic DX.

im pretty sure they are the same engine harness's.

 

I just compared, the driver side connector has 12 wires on my stock harness, the auto has 10...

I dunno what to do!

However, you have the automatic chassis harness as well...so all the pins are where they are supposed to be...

I have an originally manual car, manual engine, but I want to know if the auto harness will fit right in or require modifications...

(Now the reason I don't just get a manual one is cuz I picked this one up for near free...so if I have to get a manual one, I will, but I already have this...so yeah!)

If the dx harness is a 89-91 you can use it, but the backup wires wont work... If you add the green wire, to the proper place it will work.
