I have been having tyhis prob for a while

My car dies at any giving time while driving and wont start for about 2 hours (maybe more) thought it was relay but not sure now napa only sells 2 relays on internet fuel and headlight. and ideas what it might be

main relay would be my guess... get a friends relay and test it out. its also known as fuel pump relay.

what vehicle do you own?


do you have any air fuel hacks like a vtec controller?

but certain vehicles have diff relays make sure you get the one acording to your make and model.

Does it have spark when it's acting up? A main relay rarely causes a stalling problem.

 

What year is the car?

 

I had a similar problem, with my car running and than just dying while driving down the street, and than it would start back up and 20-30 min later it would die again. But my RPM gauge was going haywire, so i replaced the ignitor....Never had the problem again

 

Same thing happened on my car. Turned out to be a bad dizzy.

 

Same problem on my hatch, ended up being my rpm signal wire going into my ecu was loose

My car wouldnt turn over a lil bit ago. Had no clue what to look for. Just happened to grab the starter ground and it was loose. Started right up. Its a painstacking process to find out whats wrong.

 

Sorry forgot to note that i have a 95 honda del sol

doing an engine swap going to change relay too will note later and thanks for the advice and part #'s
