P & P intake manifold, aftermakrket fuel rail problems
Just installed a port and polished 97 intake manifold onto a 99 GSR motor with an aftermarket fuel rail. The pressure shot to 80-90 psi once the motor was turned on and it seems some fuel is leaking. Noticed some parts and mounts on the 97 manifold differed from the 99 in the car originally. Anyone have any ideas on why this may be happened or expierience? Thanks.
did it have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator included? The FPR maybe out of spec from being jostled around. Also do you have one of those fuel pressure guages?
fuel pressure gauge is what is telling us it is High, and the regulator isnt making a difference when we adjust it, noticed the top EVAP nipple is smaller on the 97 intake manifold than on the 99, maybe not getting enough vaccum?
Also the idle air control valve bolt pattern is different im going to try putting the stock 99 intake chamber back on to see if it makes a differance. Has anyone removed the intake air bypass system with the butterfly plate?
