is engine bad or is it just an injector?
well I was checking out a car and it had code 43 fuel system feliure I went to the muffler and smelled the fumes and it smelled like unburnt fuel so then i went to the engine and pulled the spark plugs one by one while the car was runing and noticed that when i pulled out the plug on cylinder 2 there would be no hesitation or change in the engine at all so what my thoughts were either the injector is just constantly open so there for the plug gets wet and doesn't ignite or piston number 2 is bye bye. there is spark on the plug. and as soon as i get home i'm going to do a compresion check but i just wanted some opinions just in case the compresion was good. also my cuz said that it was loosing some water so i wonder what that could be? oh the car is a 1995 civic ex 5sp
well, im not sure what the problem is, but . . . my suggestion is not to sniff exhuast fumes, they're bad for ya =P wied problem though, it has me stumped, does it sound normal when it idles and does it drive fine?
the most important part of the compression #'s is that they are all close to each other. your #'s are fine. I would bet on a clogged injector, but 90% of the time a cel 43 is caused by the o2 sensor.

try cleaning the o2 sensor first. if that doesnt fix the problem, try replacing distributor cap, rotor, and plug wires, if still nothing, then go to injectors. i have never seen anyone change one injector without changing the rest so i cannot recommend just changing one.
