Default OT but not really. Eloan.com for payment of car

Well guys I got a really good hit today about my 01 PY ITR for sale. The guy is in the state and has been approved via Eloan for my car at 17k. Anyone here had any experience selling their car to someone via eloan? Everything seems legit as I actually talked to dude. Any input? TIA

Dave.

Here is an email I just recieved as part of this.

Congratulations!

You are about to participate in a fast, efficient and secure transaction. The Buyer
has chosen to finance the vehicle through RoadLoans, one of the leading vehicle
lenders in the United States. Escrow.com is the independent third party that will
be overseeing the inspection, ownership transfer, and securing and disbursing the
funds. Escrow.com is licensed by the California Department of Corporations, registered
with the Better Business Bureau and has been providing safe online escrow transactions
since 1999.

If you have not used Escrow.com before you will need to first register as a New
User. Please be sure to register with the same email address where escrow.com
has sent this notification. If the transaction details are correct and you agree
to the terms, just select the “Accept” button.

Next, you will be contacted by AutoVin, a vehicle inspection company, to schedule
an inspection of your vehicle. Once the inspection is complete, both the Buyer
and RoadLoans will be asked to approve the inspection.

Both Buyer and the Seller must forward all the necessary documents required to register
and title the vehicle. We request that you start gathering these documents immediately,
as the transaction cannot be funded by RoadLoans until Escrow.com has received all
required documents from the buyer and the seller. You will be provided a prepaid
express mail label for sending the documents to Escrow.com.

Basic required documents for the Seller include ALL of the following:
· Notarized Bill of Sale signed by all persons on title
· Notarized Power of Attorney for each person on title
· Copy of valid Drivers License of each person on title
· Original Vehicle Title signed by all parties named on title
Title Lien Release and/or Demand for Payoff, if applicable
Copy of current registration

Power of Attorney and Bill of Sale forms can be obtained from https://www.escrow.com/Partner...s.asp,
both of which are required to transfer title and complete the registration of the
vehicle. Escrow.comÂ’s title transfer partner will begin the process of transferring
the vehicle to the new owner when all documents have been received.

If you have a lien on this vehicle, please contact your lien holder and request
a demand for payoff. Please fax the demand for payoff with your escrow.com transaction
number to 1.949.790.5801.

For vehicles being registered in California, titling requires a Vehicle/Vessel Transfer
and Reassignment Form REG 262 from the buyer and seller. If this is required, Escrow.com's
title transfer partner will notify you and provide you the original form.

Once Escrow.com has secured the funds necessary to complete the transaction, you
will be instructed to deliver the vehicle to the Buyer. The 48-hour inspection
period begins when the Buyer receives the vehicle.

When the vehicle 48-hour inspection period has expired and a clear title has been
verified, Escrow.com begins the process of disbursing the funds. Disbursements
are made within one business day of acceptance. Funds are delivered by paper check
through the US Postal Service. If you prefer, you may receive your funds by wire
transfer or express mail for a nominal cost. You will receive an escrow closing
statement at the conclusion of the transaction.

If, at anytime during the transaction, you have any questions please call our Customer
Service Department at 1-888-511-8600 between 8 am and 4 pm PST, Monday-Friday.
You may also email us at RoadLoans@escrow.com

Thank you.

I just registered for escrow.com and after all the verification there is an agreement for the 17k for the car. So far things look to be ok.

His name is John from Lauderdale, why do you ask? He said he was talking to someone in SC about theirs but mine was closer.

He mentioned the South Carolina thing to me as well (but obviously mine isn't closer).. Glad I hadn't called him back yet if he wants to go through all that hassle for even an in-state deal (escrow, etc.).. I assume it's all legit, I just hadn't called him back yet.. Just thought it was funny that it was the same guy..

Yeah it's gotta be the same guy. I'm on the phone with my bank right now to find out how it will work with them. I created an account on escrow and then low and behold there it is, a purchase request for an 01 ITR

I actually emailed him that mine was still available as I posted that last message and he nearly immediately replied that he had just gone into escrow on one near his house.. so yeah, it's definitely the same guy.. he was really eager! congrats on selling it looks like though!

I've got that silly feeling in my stomach right now. I really don't want to sell it but I need to justify the funds for the race car. My DD ITR costs me right around 600 a month before gas. I could use that for 2 track days a month. I'm gonna miss it but next DD I buy will be a black JDM front ITR.
