Default B16 and ITB's

I'm new to the honda seen was just curious, would I notice any gains (or losses) with ITB's on my B16 (has I/H/E)? I did a search and nothing came up.

With those mods, he would net more power. However, the b16s are underated, with some modification to the head to rev higher, they can be pretty potent.

Oh yeah, and no losses from itbs putting itbs on

ehh...of course theres no loss in power at $1500 for itb's there shouldnt be BUT...

he would net a better HP to dollar ratio if he ups the displacement by swapping

blocks first....THEN add itb's after he has done mods such as p+p valvetrain etc...get my drift?

Well, B18C1 is out of my budget, considering the fact that the costs of B16 swaps have hit the floor. B16 is also the only step up from the other motor that I could get, which is a D16. I would get a D16 and boost it, but I'm looking into Autocrossing...

i see, yes youll def see an increase in HP, BUT to maximize your benifits its best you improve flow first via head port and bump sticks & header etc.....

I had that exact set up stock b16 with TWm ITB's loved it, loved the throttle response. Only bad thing is that i drove this car everyday 30 miles each way, and in my eg hatch, it was 110 miles to the tank.

Dang, the gas mileage sucks... Well, I've been reading around and I have heard people stating that ITB's are overrated and are becoming a fad. Maybe I should just go with the turbo d after all? Also, can anyone tell me how an H22 EG would autox (I've heard that they are front heavy, which means that the car is going to understeer...).

front heavy as in like 80lbs heavier than a b at the most....take out ac and cruise and the rest of the unnecessary **** and move the battery to the trunk, theres your weight difference....

I've been nothing but happy with the ITB equipped b16's I've put together. My last daily driver was ITB equipped and made excellent power over stock. I think I gained 7 or 8 peak horsepower and up to 12 at certain parts of the powerband.
