H22A fabrication work on a alternator/tensioner bracket kit for either H or D series alternators
I posted up pictures recently of the fab. work of the custom H22A alternator/tensioner bracket kit. Well I made another alternator/tensioner bracket kit for the D series alternator and belt. Why? because the D series is half the weight of the H series alternator and the belt being smaller (ribbed) will cause less drag. Win Win situation.

looks nice, but what is alternators output rating?... but then again i'm assuming its going into a civic?
i made something similar....but the objective of mine was to make room for a big turbo. looks good
Far as the output its obviously smaller but I ran a 1800 watt competition stereo system off this alternator and never had a problem
what thickness/type steel is that??
1/4" stainless?
I'm needing to do some custom brackets on my ford/volvo 2.3t mustang project and I cant decide if I just want to cut/reweld the factory aluminum brackets or make some out of strap steel like you did.

I just got into the F/H game with the purchase of an f22 block today so forgive my lack of knowledge but does this work with the F22 as well?
And if so, ExplicitSpeed360, will you be selling these?
Anyone besides Oaks Racing have success with converting it to a rear mount?

I thought I would share a pic of my explicit speed performance SOHC alternator kit that I run on my H22. My kit is a custom kit John fabbed up for me since my crank pulley does not sit in the factory location however the brackets themselves are the same with the only difference being the position of the mounting holes. Not only does this kit go from the wide 5 rib prelude belt to the 3 rib it also ditches an estimated 5-7lbs of weight between the bracket and smaller/lighter SOHC alternator. 9K rpm tested
Great product and great service

Please PM with any questions and check out my site below. Yes we do sell the kits. The connections for the D series alternator and H series are the same.

How do you remove the alternator when necessary? It seems the pivot bolt wouldn't come out since the frame is closer to the head of the bolt than the bolt is long. I'd run the bolt in through the opposite direction. Unless of course it's just the angle of the pics that makes it look that way.
In the EF/DA chassis there is room to put the bolt on either side on our Upper kit. The lower kit requires you to put the bolt from the passenger side in. lol...
