Default HIDs

Anyone used HID on 5th Gens before without having to use any retro-fit stuff?

If so, any issues with glare onto oncoming traffic etc.. and is 8000k too bright/blue?

Better off to use something like 6-6500k?

I would strongly recommend against it... if you can afford to pay for the ballasts, please buy projectors, and do a proper retrofit.

I've encountered countless civics (and others) with only the bulbs, and it is truly annoying... Also, depending on where you live, you might get a ticket if you blind a cop.

In the end, you will be much more satisfied with a job well done.

Some people say that the glare is unbearable while others say it isint that bad. If you do get the hid kit make sure to aim your headlights down as much as possible.

the reason i bought my retrofit is because i had to point my hids down so i didnt blind people. In effect, i cant see well at night.
