I've had these headlights for a while. They are way dimmer then the usdm headlights. Is there a way of solving this besides getting HID's lol. I can barely see when on coming traffic has there lights on. Any ideas? thanks. By the way i use what ever bulbs that were in the headlights when the girl sold me the headlights if that makes any difference.

 

just get some nice bulbs...

 

If they are dim it means they are dirty from inside You can even see it on this photo: a little dust, not a clean, bright surface of plastic cover



You can try get some whiter bulbs, but the only full solution is to open them and wash the plastic cover from inside.

That's what I did with my ones. Now they are like new - with normal bulbs glow like that:

So JDM's are rice then.

They do LOOK nice.

It is rather question about legal DOT / SAE differences. For example it is forbidden to have in Europe DOT approved USDM headlamps for several reasons, one of them is they are too strong for european specs. Why ? No idea, but it is like that.

What do you exactly mean ? Corner markers that are part of JDM headlamp ? or the white thing in bumper ?

how hard was it to take the headlights' lens off b/c mine and almost everybody else's jdm 1 pieces I seen in person are all fogged up/grimy on the inside too. I want to open them up and clean them but am afraid I'll crack the lens and they're pretty expensive

 

You can bake them in the oven to soften up the glue that holds the plastic covering to the housing. Or you could use a knife and blow dryer like I did, and take your time as you go along the edge. When you put it back together, heat up the glue the same way, and then use a silicone sealent afterwards around the edge so that you can fill in any holes. I used a clear window all-purpose one from Home Depot, and it's been great for the past year
