00' PY ITR
36k miles

Before I tell you what I sold it for, what do you think it was worth?

Had a serious gash on the front bumper from some idiot on the highway, and a gouge taken out of the rear bumper. Both needed to be repainted, rest of the car was mint, no problems whatsoever, clean title

I'd say around 18 with that kind of mileage and title.

Hmm, I'd say $17k. $17.5-$18k if the bumpers didn't require work (keeping original paint would be worth more to me, but that's getting picky)

Good guess, I was going to say just a bit higher. Maybe 16,500?

Depends where you are
If cali probaly 17-18
the bumper is probably a 600 dollar fix for froont and back
usually 300 a bumper to paint

I'm curious as to why you sold it, only to want to buy a black one!? Theft concerns (saw your sig!)?

For the record; I recently bought mine FOR UNDER $15,700
2000 PY 19,995K on the odo. Near PERFECT condition. True story.

Also for the record, I certainly wouldn't sell it for that. ENJOY your next ride.

So when/if you sell you R in the future, the prospective buyer can archive this post to see what you payed. True story.

Seriously though, you got a hella deal. Mine was over $17 for my '97 two years ago with 22k miles, but it was mint as well.

What I meant by "getting a FBP" was sometime in the next couple of years I'll pick one up. I'm not financially stable enough at the moment to keep up w/ $328.00 car payments every month + insurance. I'm gonna grab a 98-01 GSR (black), and not have to worry about scrounging for a payment every month because I'll own it outright. Won't be the same as my R, but it could be worse.

I miss my 98 (yes Ross, its true). I can't complain though, I paid $8500 and got $13k along with 10,000 miles of great fun and memories with friends and the car.

Why do soo many of you guys want to get rid of your R's? Is it more the theft, or can you actually "grow out" of an R? Just wondering, been seeing a rash of sold R's lately...as well as stolen ones.

I don't blame you. I wouldn't like making those payments either. Wise move I say. Plus FBP is amazing. I love mine. Its beautiful when the sun hits her just right!
