I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a color to paint my CRX. I just picked up a 89 CRX si and it is currently yellow but I am looking to paint it something unique. Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions out there. I will be posting pictures of the whole build up as we go. First we are starting with the shell then going to do the suspensiong, then interior and finally a nice B16 swap with some spray. I was thinking of staying in the honda family of colors but haven't really found a color yet that caught my interest. Graphite Gray from the EVOs has been a thought as well as the BMW gunmetal.

keep it yellow...even though it has that curse...stay with the original yellow

 

Yea I honestly really like the yellow but I figured if I was stripping the car down that I might as well spray the whole thing a different color. Its up in the air at this point though.

 

If I were to paint another CRX, I'd go with that color, it's Aqua Blue Metallic. My friend was thinking about painting his hatchback in that.

It's a Subaru color if that helps...

 

I saw a CRX in Grassroots Motorsports painted that copper color from the Element. Not a color I would have thought to put on a CRX, but it sure did look nice.

edit: just went and looked it up, it's called sunset orange pearl.

 

I would go with a Honda color or back to original color that was on that car? its up to you man.

White Crx's with black moldings are really nice

 

Yea I love white cars and they are so much easier to keep looking good than something like a Black car. I really like the TL white. I guess I will have to go swing by a dealer again and check it out. I Just want to make the crx as clean looking as possible.

 

even the tl gray or silver is a good looking color but i love the white with black moldings

Sell it, its cursed! Doesn't matter what color you paint it. I will always be mad at you, and it will be completely irate with you if you don't keep it yellow.

 

White rexs with black molding looking to get it repainted here soon.

keep it barbados yellow...dont try and cover it up, that is worse than having stock Y-49...as far as the curse is concerned...

 

ive heard that before and i always used to say that it wasnt true till i got mine........90 crx si barbados yellow........ive gotten backed into many many times, door dinged and so forth and so on........ but i dont care.. gettinmg mine repainted hopefully this weekend(if my friend can come thru with some booth time). OEM baby barbados YELLOW!

All the colors people have mentioned will be awesome. I think a gunmetal CRX is very sinister looking myself, expecially with the right wheels. But black, white, yellow, red, green, silver, grey, it will still be the best car ever.
