Default Suspension Techniques Rear sway bar install?

I'm helping a friend out with this 89 Si installing the front and rear sway bars. We got the fronts on with no problem. The rears look a little tougher but ST's instructions are a little how should I say crappy. I can't really get a good idea of how the bracket bolts to the control arm shock bolt. Does anyone have either a page they know of with a good write up with pics. Or can someone take some good pics of their rear bar at the control arms so I can see how it installs a little better.

here is a thread with a lot of links in it to various solutions. i didn´t pull out specific links because there is more than one way to skin this cat and i don´t know more about your shock or control arm setup.

Wow thats some good memory!! Yeah I used them as spares to get the bushings pressed out for my 89 CRX Si to put in the Energy Suspension ones in. I've since sold the car to a friend and am helping him learn to do some work on it. Since he bought it he painted it white, I helped him put a b16a in it, helped him put tokico's all the way around, and he recently bought the sways and we're learning together since this is the first time any one of us has done this. The next project is to swap the rear discs off a wrecked 91 Si we found. Thanks APEX, seller!

What brand are those lower control arms?
How much weight did you save over stock?

Function7. Super duper light compared to the stocks.

Edit: damn dude above me beat by like seconds! Anyways, does anyone else's endlinks make a lil bit noise??

He said they weigh 2 lbs a piece, not save 2 lbs a piece. I think stock RLCAs weigh a bit more than 3 lbs...

I have one in the garage....I promise it doesn't weigh that much more. For the increased chance of snapping the LCA as opposed to bending it...I will stick to stock.

the front sways bars?

I did this. On the frame bushings put them together and put on the bar. Place the little metal clip from the frame bushing holder in the hole in the car but don't put the bolt in yet. Now assemble and bolt up but don't tighten the endlinks as shown above on both sides. Now bolt up the frame bushing section one side at a time, it will be tough but you will have to push up real hard. Next bolt down both endlink sides tight enough till the bushings bulge but don't crush them.

Hmm...I just put the fronts on yesterday and they were a little small going on there but I just put the bushing on the bar first then the bracket. It is a little small but it will go on. It helped that I used my cordless impact to get the bolt pushed up enough to start it but it should work.

See those endlinks that came with the bar are ****, and still made noise. They developed sooo much play in them.

There is one already, look up about 4 or 5 posts.

The only confusion would be for the endlink...i hope you're not having trouble bolting it to the body.
