My auto tranny is busted, in my 97, ls teg and i can get a jdm ls auto (not GSR) for real cheap will it work with my usdm engine without any other mods, if not what do i need?

You didn't even say what you have.

 

What usdm engine do you have?
if its an ls and it was automatic, yes.

thanks mike , yeah its a ls engine , i thought it would work but wanted to be sure i would not have to purchase anything else to get it on the g.o.

 

Sure, it will bolt up, but I'm not sure about all the electrical stuff. There is an entire computer unit designed to control your automatic transmission. The JDM one might not be compatible with it, hell it might not even plug in.

any ideas how and where i can find this out guys it would save me a big headache from gettin it shipped across country thanks i thought i read a post on it here a long while ago can`t seem to find it in search , oh well
