Yes, I've searched and found a lot of info, but just want to clear up everything before I attempt this tonight.
1. It is possible with the same mounts from a f22b2 besides the driverside mount, where I would be using a Prelude stock mount?
2. Wiring will be no problem since it is a straight up swap with a H22a4 dizzy and all?
3. I can use my 94 LX tranny?
4. Stock Prelude ECU or stock Accord ECU?
If there is anything else I should know, please tell me, because I will need to drive this car tomorrow morning. TIA

yes, all mounts of either accord or prelude (can't mix) must be used except for the driverside mount which must be a prelude mount...this mount needs to be shaved about 1/4" though in order to fit....

you will need to add 3 wires to the accord harness...the only time people run into trouble with the distributor seems to be when they start with an obd2 accord and use an obd1 motor...this problem has many solutions however, so it's not a problem until you cross that bridge...

yes, it will fit and bolt up perfectly to the h22a, however, the gear ratios weren't made to match the high revving h22a...you will just be shifting from 2nd to 3rd at about 70, and then 3rd-5th gears just suck for all acceleration purposes...h22's mated to f22 trannies tend to run about .3-.5 slower in the 1/4 mile than do h22 tranny equipped swaps...
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by CW96 »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">4. Stock Prelude ECU or stock Accord ECU?</TD></TR></TABLE>
the accord ecu won't work for the prelude...you must either use the prelude ecu (p13) or a modified integra (p72) or del sol si (p28) ecu...the latter two are better if you plan on extensive engine modification that require tuning in the future...

as an h22 swapped accord owner, the h22 swap is a decent modification, but only if done right...i really wouldn't recommend it if you are mating it to the accord transmission, as you really won't notice the gains until vtec engages...after doing my swap, a buddy of mine completed his turbo f22 project (which actually ended up costing about $200 less than the h22 swap), which i found to be a hell of a lot more fun to drive than the h22 accord...you will still be tourqueless with the h22, which is much needed in our heavy *** boats...
if i could do it over again, i would go with the boosted f22...i know you wanted to know about the h22 swap itself, but i'm just giving my personal experience as an owner...the f22's are also a dime a dozen when it comes to replacing them, which makes them a perfect candidate for a fun car...however, whatever you choose, just make sure that you don't half *** anything and that everything has been done properly...it makes a night/day difference in the longevity and enjoyment of your car....

Well, the stock tranny is automatic, but I do have the Prelude tranny. I have all this crap because I bought a wrecked rear ended 98 Prelude from the junk yard. I also have the ECU of course and shift linkage, etc. This car would just be a daily for me and my brother if he needs it, so there is no point in "more power". Didn't have to since the Accord had 90k miles anyways but just thought it would be nice and ended up getting the entire car for 600 so its all good.
EDIT: forgot to mention, the Prelude tranny is 5MT

Hmm.. You have a 98 H22. OBD2 motor into a OBD1 car. There's going to be some differences compared to a OBD1 motor swap into a OBD1 car. The 98 ECU has the immobilizer system as well, so you'd be better off sourcing a different ECU than the one you have.
Hopefully, some of the other guys here can chime in with the differences in the install.

Did it! Thanks to everyone. It did not get finished last night like it was suppose to, but I just finished it when I came back from school with the help of my auto tech teacher.
