Default Oil pressure question.

I have a b18A with a Type R oil pump. Normally my pressure is around 80 psi above 2000 rpms. I changed my oil last night and filter, now my pressure is at 80 psi between 2000 and 4000 rpms. Above 4000 and it starts to climb up to around 100 psi. What could cause this and will it blow and seals? I used 10W30 because of the cooler weather now.

so you get 100 psi after 3k rpms even after the car is at operating temp?

thast high...you should be getting around 70 psi. the spring on the pump could not be doing its job.

figure I would get in it pretty good one time and found out that the oil pressure dropped at about 4200 rpm's. I'm thinking its a bad sending unit. It is kinda spuraric at times also.
