In my 90 dx the gas guage does not fill up all the way. Its usually an 1/8 tank off. I average around 350 to a tank and im obsessed with running the tank out, but I dont hit 150 miles till I have about 1/4 left and then I have to run the needle all the way down past E for a while. Its really annoying and risky and 2 stock guage clusters have acted the same way. Any ideas?

 

just fill up the tank, then pull out the needle and put the needle to full.
