Default trouble ideling (timing maybe?)

sup guys well i got the car runnin after the headgasket change.. but now it wont idle unless i push the distributor all the way toward the car... and it still does idle high enough...the cam gears and crank are all set at TDC... could it be that my valve lash isnt in spec? i need to get them adjusted.. i hear them clickin...

Did you change back your timing with a timing gun? If not, then that probaly be the cause of the idling problem.

na i didnt.. what exactly do u do to do it w/ a gun? whats the jumper? ect...

well the jumper is to jump the diagnostic plug, u know where you jump to get the CEL codes.
You hook the gun up to the battery and #1 spark plug wire. The light flashes when #1 spark plug fires.
