Why wont my car start?????
When I try to start my car it will turn over, but wont start. The car has power, ie: the radio comes on, head lights turn on (bright). The battery is 3 weeks old, the fuel filter is 3 weeks old. Somebody please help me.
My 2000 gsr motor did/does the same thing. Do you have an after market alarm on the car? I have a viper alarm and in the cold, the alarm solenoid acts up and messes with my ignition a little. What I do is turn the key to the 2nd part of the ignition, let it sit for about 40-60 secs with the radio on just to get the battery goin, turn the key, it starts right up. I initially thought it was spark/plug/dist. related and I replaced all of this stuff : battery, plugs, wires, distributor, starter and it still didnt start all the time.
I figured through much trial and error, my alarm is somehow draining my alternator I think when I initially go to start my car, so I think once theres enough charge in it, it cranks right over. I think that its something draining power from somewhere. do you have a system, alarm, or something else majorly electrical? I would check all of these. Good luck with it man
