OK, im trying to find a H22 and i was just wondering the difference between A H22A1, H22A4, etc? haha im learning this stuff take it easy on me. Also i see this OBDII stuff everywhere, what is this?

 

Let's see if I can not screw this up...

H22A1 = vtec engine of the 4th gen (92-96)
H22A4 = vtec engine of the 5th gen (97-01)

OBDI = wiring/electrical system from 92-95(? - didn't it change in '96?)
OBDII = you guessed it, wire/electric for all years after

 

that works, is there a difference between h22a4 and h22a1, im guessing i can put a A4 in my 93 prelude?

 

You can, but you'll have to account for the differences in the wiring set-up. I think I've seen a couple threads on converting OBDII to OBDI, and I know there are conversion harnesses out there.

I haven't had to deal with it personally, so I can't really say 100%.

 

so basically wait till i can get a A1 then?
