H22A4 Head on H22A1 Block
I rebuilding a H22A1 block, which will go into my obd2 98 lude. Everything else will be obd2. I did a search on this and found that the only difference is the head gasket. But I noticed the H22A4 block has a sensor by the dampner pulley. Also, are all H22A1 blocks OBD 1? I was a little confused by some of the posts?
I'm also in the process of getting a JDM front clip, so I can do an auto to manual conversion on my 5th gen lude. The front clip is from a 93-96 H22A JDM lude with an LSD tranny. I'm also wondering if there is any differences between the the tranny's in terms of OBD1 and OBD2. Since I will be using my OBD2 system. Unless of course it would be easier to use the ECU from the clip.

you can use your obd2 with that tranny. however, if you swap ecus you will have to get your key reprogrammed. you may need the learning key.
