So about 6 months ago, I was getting onto I-75 on a Sunday afternoon. MDOT was doing some construction work on the freeway, and they had "yeild" signs at the bottom of all the ramps for a few miles down. I got to the bottom and was waiting at the yeild sign for traffic to clear, and some dumb broad comes sailing down the ramp at about 65 and plows right into me. Sent me flying, almost into the pillar of the bridge in front of me. She gets out of the car and starts apologizing, and all I can do is stare at her with this blank look on my face like "what the F**K did you just do?" So anyway, the insurance company totaled my car, her's had about $3500 worth of damage. Upside of it all is that a) I'm not dead b)The insurance paid off my loan and then some. I hate other drivers, esp. when they aren't paying attention. She might have been on the phone, but she had one of the port-a-desk things in the passenger seat, so I assume she wasn't even looking at the road. If she hadn't hit me, she'd have gone right into traffic and probably killed somebody.

Try to swap out as much stuff as possible before they take it. I.E. rims, springs, performance mods.

yo ur from michigan too.....i used to live there before college......she should be getting a 205 dollar ticket for failure to stop ($165) plus a $40 fee because it resulted in an accident. Make sure she gets it, along with a punch in the ovaries. Glad your ok man.

 

thanks for the sympthies guys.....unfortunately, the insurance company took everything with the car......i even told them that i bought all the stuff after i got the car, but since i had no stack parts, they wouldn't let me keep anything. they wouldn't even let me put steelies on it. next time i'll be saving all my stock parts....just in case. at any rate, yes i am lucky to be alive....and she did get screwed.....cops wrote her like three tickets or something, plus she had to pay me back my $1000 deductible on the insurance.

 

oh.....and no.....now i have to drive my dirt *** pickup truck all the time......barely does 60..... what a waste

i had a guy do that to me a couple years back. well it was more of a head on collision because he was on his cell and just tried to turn his big *** van right in front of my accord.

i notice that a lot of people cant even walk normal and talk on the phone, why would people wanna drive?!?!?
