heres the thing, i have the vtec-e motor and when i went to dyno i was using vafc. but the y5 motor is not compatable with the vafc for some reason so at high rpm 5500k up to redline, my power curve was real spiky and not making the power i should. i was able to muster 130hp, 155ftlbs
after that i just ran without the vafc, using only the walbro intank pump and the 12:1 fmu, and it felt great on the street
even though its low it made it real fun on the street with all the torque all NA dohc had nothign on me, from a roll i hung on with an evo for 2 gears, stock 350z he wasn't pulling away and i wasn't making ground almost even... keep in mind the y5 tranny has super long gears... and its a sohc so for DD it makes a stock motor alot more fun on the street from stop light to stop light. and on the hwy rolls are fun also.
with this in mind, if you have a y8 or z6 vtec motor this will bolt right up and give you better gains than i have
