Default Honda Accord 3.0 liter '98 Catalytic Converters

I have a confirmed bad (below threshold) Catalytic Converter an need a replacement.

However, I am having a difficult time finding a good replacement for the 3.0 liter engine. The only place I was able to find one for the 3.0 liter engine was at: http://www.convertersexpress.c...unt=6 at $138.

There are no emissions laws here in FL so I wouldn't minds geting a "high-flow" cat.

Who here is web savy enough to find me a good deal on a '98 Accord 3.0ltr Catalytic Converter. I would owe you my gratitude.

Thanks for quick reply, you rock.

I have over 128,000 miles. The car is 7 years old. So I am out of warranty here.

My guess is the SRI intake led to the premature failure.

I noticed the problem when my idle would fluctuate from 1000 to 2300 rpm every second.

it's probably not your intake, it's not even yor cat is bad.

i am putting my bet on the o2 sensor.

the cat rarely goes bad unless you are running leaded aircraft gas

what leads you to believe that your cat is failing?

putting a crappy hi flow cat will give you a CEL which will hurt your mileage per gallon. if you in cali, you'll get a fat ticket and it will not pass smog check for it

I had a diagnostic ran and the code was for (Catalytic Converters below threshold).

It could be a bad O2 sensor. I am going to Voltimeter and try to test it first before I go buy anything...

There's no extension on those. They had an 80,000 mile federally mandated warranty from th git-go.
