Default painting wheel... question

so i sanded down my wheel and cleaned it up and after applying the primer, it came out looking all sandy and i could actually wipe off the sandy feeling with my fingers.

Why did it come out like that? Is it the primer im using? The technique i used to put it on? Too much?

any help is much appreciated, thanks guys

How does that have anything to do with the origional post?

Are you sure the primer is rubbing off? Primer is supposed to be rough

you probable got sandable primer by accedent it goes on really thick but when you touch it it comes right off. go get some real primer thats not sandable

make sure the paint cans are warm when u spray them. leave paint flows and stick better when it is warm. make sure the wheel is warm, anout 50-80 degrees and leave the can of paint in a big huge bucket of 85-95 degree water. paint will come out SMMMOOOOTH

Is the primer coming off or just have dust that you can wipe/blow off? If the primer is sticking, but there is dust thats FINE. However, you'll want to let the dust settle and then rinse/wipe and clean the surface to get the dust off. Wipe all the access dust off, and wash the surface. Help to get all the dust/debris off the surface.

If the primer is coming off al together, then rough the surface of the wheel up more and make sure you are spraying in some extreme conditions.
