My T1R SPL system got damaged in a recent accident so I need to replace it. I'm contemplating getting one of the Kteller setups with the ES oval muffler (2.5").

Can some ES owners characterize the sound? Is it stock-like? Raspy/ricer-noise? I currently have a high-flow cat installed, and I know that will affect the sound too.

its all depends on size of your resonator. its loud, cauase its str8 design.
but i dont think it will be fart can.

 

Not fart can...Its more like a hum can....Low hmmhmhmhmmhm not all waahahahhah

 

With a 14" resonator. Is it annoying while cruising (constant RPM)?

 

Mine sounds like **** at 3k rpm.. 2 1/4'' mandrel bent piping, 14'' resonator to a 2.5'' ES oval. It has a slight buzz at 3k rpm, but other than that, it sounds ok.

 

2.25" straight piping, no cat, just pipe from the header to the muffler. very light and raspy. annoying buzz between 3 and 3.5 rpm.

soon to reroute piping and add a cat and resonator to tone it down a bit

 

my bros' has a nice hum sound
2.25pipe,cat,no resonator.

 

i like first gear acceleration....depends on the mood ur in...it will get annoying
