Default Type S Prelude

I was just wondering what is the engine that comes in the Type s model of the preludes?

Then its not a type s, they arent made in america. Also if it just got rear ended that means the motor is still good and worth atleast $3k. Look at the valve cover it should be red and say dohc vtec and big letters.

I guarentee its a s model trim with a f22 single cam motor which is slow.

well i hurd about the car through a friend, and hes telling me the guy thats selling the car dont kno what he has. I asked him again to make sure the guy said 'Type S" instead of just a regular S, hopefully its h22 and i can get it worth a steal, also, if your spending 3 grand on a h22 ur spending way 2 much, i find them online on multiple websites anywhere from 1500-2300

i'm gunna guess its an f22 if he's selling it for 500

...if it is a type s h22, it would easily sell for over $3k, and you are a lucky man

probally a sh. Eitherway you could buy it and make a money on just selling the engine, not to mention the hundreds of other parts..

Um... No.. For a JDM Type S Motor you will spend $3k if not $4k.. I regular H22A will be around $2k, yes, but not Type S.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Rad Racing &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">What year is it?</TD></TR></TABLE>

It would have to be a 4th Gen since the 5th's only have a base & Type SH.

Yeah, it probably is a guy that doesn't know what he has and is saying it's a Type S when he doesn't know it's just the S model. And if he doesn't know what he's talking about then he doesn't know that there is a JDM Prelude called a "Type S" so he doesn't know any better..

Depending how bad the rear end damage is you could fix that easy and get a H22 and drop it in. Or you could just part out the car, you'll get more than $500 if it's in good shape..

the prelude type s was a 5th gen prelude, and was not available in the us.
prelude s (f22) was 4th gen, although some other countries had an weaker 5th gen with a single cam iirc.

def not a "Type s" because first to buy one would cost an arm and a length and no one would spend that much more on a prelude when they can get an SI for cheaper and then if they did then they know what car it is. And not to mention the right hand drive and the jdm front end. Youd have to be retarded to think someone would just give away a car like that.

Why would it be an SH? He never said that it was a 4th or 5th gen. And just saying Type "S" would more likely make it a 4th gen... :/
But that's just what I concluded from the info given..

if its a 94 its not a type S. its probably not even an h22. Type S are jdm and are only in the 5th gen.

The S model prelude was a 4th gen 92-96 and had a 135 hp? sohc non vtec

If the guy had a Type S motor he would know it.

SO you probaly dont have a car worth that much.

You're not listening...The motors you found online aren't the correct motors that you are talking to us about. And regaurdless, 2k is a lot more than 500bux for an entire motor and car. My guess is its a prelude s...

aren't Type S only right-hand drive? if it is, this should make it easier for the creator of the thread to find out what car it is
