you are just missing the dust cover on the first shaft.

Yea looks like a basic halfshaft just no cover, probably got hit off somehow.

any drawback to running no cover? My driver side axel seal is leaking and im thinking of just replacing the halfshaft with this one while i got it out...

No cover = more prone to bearing and seal failure.

ok cool so ill replace it with this one

anyone know the p/n on the driver side axle seal for a 98 gsr?
