Default jdm integra type r 4.7 final drive in ctr tranny

I was just thinking about changing my 4.4 ctr final drive over to the jdm 4.7 from a integra type r. I was just wondering how beneficial that would with the accelaration and closeness of the gears? And yes i searched

what type of motor do you have? Hell yes it will help out your acceleration but you will waste more gas. Hey you drive a honda, saves gas and halls ***!!!

The 4.7 FD rocks. I love mine and is probably the best mod on my hatch.

I have a ctr motor. And for the guy asking what i final drive is i dont really know how to explain it very good. Juts go to search and type in what is final drive you will get like 6 or 7 pages of good links. and no i'm not trying to be a ******* either lol

jdmlifestyle- what motor are you using your 4.7 on?

final drive does nothing to the closeness of the gears

if you have 2inch diameter wheels with a 2.5 final drive, your gears are still going to be just as far apart (RPM wise) from each other

b16 gears with 4.4 final drive and 205/50/15 tires end at... (shifting at 8000)
1st 39
2nd 59
3rd 85
4th 112
5th 147

b16 gears with 4.785 final drive and 205/50/15s (shifting at 8000)
1st 36
2nd 55
3rd 79
4th 103
5th 135

overall accleration will be improved. it'll feel like having 8.75% more tq in your entire RPM range
