I see a fidanza short shift adapter on ebay for around $20 ?How are fidanza regarding short shifters ? Or would you rather get a neuspeed or DC sports one ? Also do they make a true short shifter for the 98 prelude SH, cause all I can find is the adapter ?
for 5th Gen, get PSPEC. I've had LEan SS and PSPEC and PSPEC is good enough to have been OEM Honda (actually a notch above OEM) - very well made. Smooth as stock but much shorter. most short shifters are at least a little bit notchy or awkward, PSPEC isn't. my 2 cents
i bought an Ebay one like your looking at,
it just changes where the cable is attatched to the shift arm, it reduced throw by about %20. For the 20 bucks it costs, i think it was a good buy.

I HAD a PSPEC Shortshifter in my 93 lude, one of the blots on the inside of the shifter broke, so idk, but hey, the company stands behind their products, they said if we send the broke one back they will give me a new one free of charge. I got a B&M on the way now.. if that works good i can sell u the PSPEC once it comes in

agreed, lean racing with polyurethane bushings. includes the whole shifter assembly and requires you to send in your core, unless you don't have one. very very impressive short shifter

"Impressive" until you realize you just spent that money to pay someone to cut off the stock mounting bracket and weld it back on higher and powdercoat it.

No, it will not fit my shifter. The "race" setting on my shifter is at the max point you can go and still not have to worry about breaking cables.

My 5th gen was an auto and i was doing a 5spd swap so i didn't have to wait, plus i never had a shifter assembly for a 5spd so it was inexpensive for me and a wise decision to purchase the whole assembly all together
I read in many cases, a lot of the short shifters out there that use the adapters tend to loosen over time and are not designed well.
IMO and my case, leanracing was the best option for me. Of course everyone is going to have their own opinion and personal preference of which type of design they desire.

I've never understood why you are so pro-Lean? Did he give it to you for free? Does he pay you to advertise for him? I just don't understand because the Pspec is the better unit for the 5gen.
