i have a b&m short shifter with bushings...drove for about 2 weeks..then it got loose and had to tighten it..then another two weeks it was fine and just today it started to squeak everytime i put it into gear..any ideas what the problem could be?

You probably didn't lube the bushings enough or the rings that came with the kit.
