Default Sparkplug and Wire questions for F23A1

OEM is NGK (V-power) heat level 5 (hotter=4 colder=6,7). Their iridium or platinum series look interesting though. Any recommendations for going hotter or colder for this engine (no other mods yet) or for replacing the oem stock wires ?

What is the ideal sparkplug reach for this engine ? OEM stock is 3/4".

OEM is ideal. Period.

I'm currently running NGK Iridiums, though.

OEM for wires is best also.

ok thanks.
Here are a couple of pictures I took today of the spark plugs. They were changed at 65k and have about 15k miles on them. They look ok except for the last two that appear more 'gray' rather than dull-white like the first two ? What does that mean ? The electrodes on them also look more grainy. Do you see anything that is not normal ?

white stuff could be that you are running lean, but to be sure, clean the plug and see if you still have the same white stuff around1k later.

I would change my plug every 15k or sooner, it's like 12 dollar

Stick with oem copper, v power tip form ngk works great.

you an buy couple set of copper plug for the price of one iridium, which doesn't really do awhole lot, yeah, it's harder than copper but who cares, it's not going to add any horsepower. Not to mention MOST honda will have a slightly lower gas mileage due to the plugs for some reason. ask around

Just out of curiosity I measured the resistance of all the spark plug wires and here's what I got -

Plug1 - 12.12 kohm
Plug2 - 10.66 kohm
Plug3 - 8.48 kohm
Plug4 - 7.83 kohm

Does this seem ok ? How close is it to the new oem wire ?

Also, the 'gray' plugs in the pictures are plugs 3 and 4, white ones are 1 and 2. Wondering if the extra resistance of the longer wires for plugs 1 and 2 affects anything ?
