After two, two day weekends, and less than a thousand street miles my P+ pads look pretty bad, worn over half way down. Also they have worn unevenly top to bottom, does anyone know what would cause this?
Just swapped out my P+s today to save them for more track days.
6 HPDE days and plenty of life left.
These pads never cease to amaze me or my instructors. Especially remarkable when you consider my rather porky car has smaller brakes than those tiny ITRs and has to scrub off just as much speed!

One thing that might cause this is "punching" the brakes.

How much are the P+? How do we get hold of Andie (Andy)? web site url?
How do they compare to the R4 or R4S?
How do they compare to the R4 or R4S?
Im not sure how they compare to the R4's personally, but its been covered many times before so do a search you will find a lot. To sum it up, due to cost, wear (of pad and rotor) and total braking force, the P+ comes out on top. As for the R4S...dont even attempt to compare to the P+. I run the R4S out back and the pad is more agressive than stock by far, but will no way take the abuse of a track session up front. I think the P+ front, R4S rear is a great combo, but many find the need for a Panther, or even P+ out back.
Loved my P+, even on my heavyweight. As for wear, so far so good. Pads are an inevitable replacement item, so run what works. These did for me, although I may bump up to the XP once this set is done. I run them on the street, too. FWIW, the R4S I ran once at VIR SUCKED. When I replaced them with the P+, they were almost GONE from 1 event and normal DD. Plus, did I mention they sucked on the track?
The Panther pad has come a long way in the last few years. I first got a set in '99 from my Eclipse (2.0 n/t). I burned through them in a weekend at Kershaw in the slow-*** novice group.
I think they discovered one of thier ingredients was causing high wear rates at high temps. Whatever it was the P+ rocks. Not *quite* the bite of the original Panther, but lasts a lot longer.
in my book.
I have driven R4 and P+ on the same car at the same track. They are very comparable performance wise with the P+ being less expensive.
Good job Carbotech

I think my brake imput was pretty smooth on the track. Could the street driving be causing this?
) with 2-3 thousand of NOVA driving in between. These pads are great and can be used on the street, but I would suggest buying a cheap set and swapping them out at the track, or when you get home from the track. Good Luck! Carbotech =
