Rotor Screws!!!!
Ok we all know that brake work is not easy and i swear my car is cursed but then again it is a 96 so its getting old but i was trying to get the screws that hold the rotors on the rear off and got one off but the other one the threaded part of the screw is still in and the top tapered part came off onto the drill bit it was using so what the heck do i do with this? dow do i get this freakin screw out???? help me asap i need to get this done now!! If the head of the screw is broken off, you probably could just drill it out. Some people don't even put them back on.
Normally, an impact driver is used to get the screw off. A punch or chisel, and a hammer hitting it at an angle, counter-clockwise also works, if the screw head wasn't broken off.

Yea, just drill it out.
I had that happen to me like last year around this time. I said screw the screw (lol, it's stupid but funny) and I just put the rotor back on. The lugnuts hold it in place and I haven't had a problem yet and I really tear into my car. So no worries.

If you insist on getting it out, it's still possible. If with the rotor removed there is still some of the screw sticking out; you can cut a slot across the face so as to engage a standard blade screwdriver.
If it broke off flush, you can centerdrill the stud and use an extractor (available thru Sears/Craftsman, Snap-on, Mac Tools or others.
Do NOT attempt to do it until you've gived it the "penetrating oil and heat" treatment.

ok prob is that the rotor is still on the car so i can't take the rotor off till i get the screw out. it broke off where the screw starts to taper into the threads and i can't geta drill bit to bite and drill into it, should i just use a smaller bit and keep trying or what i got one out and now i need the other and the bits jsut keep spinning in the hole. ITs kind of frustrating and i have tried pb blaster and well i just need to get a good grip on the sides to get it out with an extractor but i can't get a bit to drill any deeper!!!!
thanks

the part that needs to be drilled into has been ina way polished bc the bit just keeps trying to dig in but cant so am i drilling wrong im going slow and using a lubricant and i have cobalt bits so i do something to start a hole opr what???
You're gonna need a center punch, a smaller bit and then the final size bit to get it done.
The center punch to dimple the center so the smaller bit doesn't start to skate. Once you've got the small one deep enough, then your larger bit will find some bite
