so i found a d15b2....i looked it up at my work and it says it came out of a 88-89 civic...but its not a vtec...the engine has a vtec head on it and i dont know what kind it is...i wanna buy it and put it in my hatch but i dont know whats been done to the motor...the head is a 93....what do u guys at HT think i should do??

 

That's someting you wil have to figure out on your own...doesn't matter where you might get your motor from, you just have to trust that it's still in good shape.

If you can get it cheap enough AND you know for a fact it is a vtec head... Buy the motor and for piece of mind rebuild it. Even bearings and valve seals and you'll be good to go, Assuming there's no bent valves and the rings arent shot. Good luck Mini-mes a fun
