Go to http://www.LSDmotorsports.com and get a clutch specialty stage 2 pressure plate and a street disc, or even talk to the guys and they will tell you what they think, it is a lot cheaper than any other ones ($320 shipped) and is a great product...as for fly wheel you should be careful going with a lighter fly wheel remeber a motor is rotating and the whole assembly is balanced if you change one end you should really balance it out, just my opinion on that...good luck with your choice

well the whole rotating assemble of a motor is balanced, this includes rods pistons crank crank pull and flywheel...If you ever build a motor and have it balanced they will ask for all of those peices...Honda balances there motors from the factory so if you are changing one peice you need to be careful not to make the assemlbe out of balance and cause more wear or unusual wear...I believe people have had problem with putting lighter crank pullys on causeing oil pump failure...I believe you aren't going to gain much by putting a lighter fly wheel on...to optimize you might as well build the motor with a lighter crank, crank pully and fly wheel and have the whole assemble balanced but its a lot safer that the chance of a lighter fly whel destroying a motor(might just shorten the life of the motor, not gonna cause catasrofic failure) This is just my thoughts from doing some research...may not be 100% accurate or factual but I do know the motor is balanced and lightening the fly wheel or crank pully could cause problem...

I believe the engines are balanced so that the forces from the rods are equal and perfect during the stroke, lightening the flywheel lightens both forces, and doesn't create any extra weight on one side of the crank, so I don't think it would be a problem

i wouldnt invest too much money in name brands rather than specs.
as someone stated above clutch specialties is a great bang for the buck.

alot of it comes down to how much horsepower do you plan to make "be real here"?
and how often will you drive the car?

Hmm..I very skepical that a lighten flywheel will not effect the balance of the rotating assemble...Not trying to get into a pissing match but here are some links to some info about lighter fly wheels, pos v. cons

This is in reference to motorcycles but has some information that is relievant:
http://www.ducati.net/faq.cfm?id=44

A physics leason but does show possitives of a lighter flywheel:
http://www.nissanperformancema...sarah/

Guess i couldn't find any info to support my argument directly but why else do they need the flywheel to balance the motor?

And back onto your real question...
If this is a weekend racer then you can get a 6 puck cltuch but it won't last as long as a street disk..it will grab stronger...but really depends on your power goals...look ast LSD motor sports and you will save a lot of money and also get a great product, good luck...Matt
