Hello everybody. I am new to the forum. I own a Civic Type R EK9 model. I want to know if it makes sense replacing the stock intake box with an AEM cold air intake. I noticed the design on the intake is similar to that of an Icebox and wondered how much gains I can expect, if any with the AEM cold air intake that goes down by the wheel. Also does it make sense replacing the exhaust manifold with a header. I was told that the Civic Type R ek9 design was good and I would not see much HP gains.

 

You'll see HP gains of probably 10whp with CAI, exhaust and header. But you'll never feel torque

So it doesn't make sense changing the intake and replacing the exhaust on the ek9?
