DONT DO IT! Stay away from that company for suspension. Heres a quick rundown of my experience with Hayame. Was cheap and there were no shocks out yet besides Konis so I bough Hayame's.

-perches seized together, got another set
-again the perches seized together, got another set
-driving down the highway, ride starting gettting a little floaty, then all of sudden the wheel collapses and I veer off the side of the highway crossing three lanes. No damage to the exterior of the car. Jack up that side, and my Hayames had cracked completely in half. Upper and lower tie rods were bent. Warned people online but people still bought them. Happened to many other people and Hayame finally stopped making them.

Moral of the story. Buy a well known company's product. Suspension is not something you want to expletive around with.

Some people over at ClubRSX swear by Omnipower others say they are also too close to the design of Hayames. They are tempting for the price though but I learned my lesson.

I would stick with tried and true names. Tein Basics are 900 bucks or Tanabe Sustec are 850-900. Both are excellent coilovers and a decent price.

I'm running Tein Basics and I love them. Ride is neither too stiff or soft. Dampen harsh bumps very well. Although I would not recommend this setup if you are planning on Auto X. They are more for daily driving.

WE are currently taking the omni's and the hayame's off the site. Both are very faulty products. Thanks for looking at us though.

Progress full coilovers is the way to go or Tein basics!!! PM if you need help.

please DO NOT buy any suspension parts from HAYAME, they suck ***!! Take it from me, biggest mistake and waste of money. I Bought the version 2 and the fronts blew 2 months after i bought them and it was all city driving. I didnt pound on them. Also the perches seized and they shake even when they were preloaded all the way.

Just a shitty suspension system all together. Please take it from me, learn from my mistake. Suspension is not where you want to save and cut corners. The more you try to save the more you end up spending.

Next year im doing it right and buying Teins. 'Expletive" Hayame

thanks for the info/advice. looks like ill be avoiding hayame/omni/megan racing and all those made in china/taiwan products.

full coilovers are so much ******* cash

whats a nice set of coilovers that are reptuable, perfect for city daily driving, and affordable within the $800 price range?

i was checking out the B&G's off truehonda.com, but i heard i would need to replace my uppermounts on those just like the tein basics since my car is an 03 model. any idea whats that about?

I used my stock upper mounts. I wouldn't recommend Tein's uppermounts for daily driving. They tend to be noisy and actually take away a little bit of your shock travel due to their thickness.

These three coilovers are all excellent. Any one would be an excellent choice for a daily driver and the spring rates are all almost identical.

Tein Basics
Tanabe Sustec S-OC Type II
B+G

You can't go wrong with any of those.

May be a little more than what you are looking to pay, but check my signature for some BuddyClub coilovers. They absolutely blow everything you are talking about out of the water.

NJslvrtypes, is your civic an 03+ as well? i heard stories from http://www.7thgencivic.com that the 01-02 uppermounts are ok, but the 03+ uppermounts wont work on the tein/b&g as those 2 coilovers require the OEM uppermounts?

those buddy clubs look nice, but 1175 would suffer me. thanks for the offer though

i think i got the last v1 from one of the vendors on 7thgen. mine are holding up fine. i thought they held back the release of the v3....

i plan on ditching them next year for some teins, but for me, they do the job. even seen two auto-x days....i dunno. maybe they tried to save money on the second set....

I can't comment on the 03 upperpillow mounts not working because I have an 02 RSX Type S. My stock OEM pillowmounts worked fine.

I would give Tein or Tanabe a call and see what they say. I highly recommend the use of OEM mounts for a daily driver.
