Default Spun a rod bearing

so im at the track tonight, make a beautiful pass. go for the 2nd, all is GREAT through the 1/8 and then it starts breaking up bad so i let out and when i get to the pit, i got a nice bottom end rattle when i rev to around 2500-3k. Im feeling that its a spun rod bearing. They are ACL bearings. Car idles perfect, no smoke, but rattles like **** when you rev it. Now 3 weeks ago i had a bad run and went into 2nd from 3rd and the motor started to make a slight ticking sound it kinda went away as the week progressed. Still ran strong though. The motor has been assembled and tuned and running for prolly about 10,000 miles. 404whp initial tune, 515whp final tune. 25-26 psi. when the motor cooled off tonight after about 2 hrs i had to crank it to move it, she rattled LIKE **** when doing that cold crank for a second or 2. Im pulling the pan tomorrow. Thoughts?

Sounds like it's f-ed up. I wonder what the bearings look like. Wouldn't start it anymore, may be able to salvage what you have.

cylinder 3 upper rod bearing was squashed. looks like it detonated, i cant think of any other way that could happen. the bottom one was shaved a little to but not squashed out wider in the center like the upper one. Crank and rod are both in great shape, gonna rub some 1500 in the rod to get the "burn out of them" and change the rest of the rod bearings as well.

If the rod has been discolored form heat, mic the rod journal before reassembly to be sure it still is within spec.
