Default kind of a noob question, but i need to know something about the fuel filter.

i've had my car for almost 3 years (its a 92 integra GS with ABS) now and upon searching through the original owner's maintainance records, i've found that the fuel filter has never been replaced. i've been told its a good idea to replace it (or clean it) every once in a while. my question is, where is it located, i'd like to at least clean it, i've been told if its dirty or bad, it can cause rough idle and bad fuel economy. anyone have pics of its location, it would be greatly appreciated as i dont know where it is. thanks alot.

you need to buy a new one. Buy one, see what it looks like and find it in the engine bay. It will be just like playing "wheres waldo"

It should be near the firewall on the passenger side (at least on 3rd generation Integras). I'll try to find a pic.

You should just replace it with either an OEM one or an OEM replacement from Pep Boys/Autozone/etc. They should run you about $8-10 for the latter. Takes about 10 minutes or less to do with simple handtools. You should replace the washer.

Here's a pic of a 2nd generation:

Unfortunately, I don't know where it is. I don't think it's that canister type thing on the upper left. Sorry.

All I can suggest is....search.

passenger side firewall

If you still cant find it... follow the 3/8'ish rubber hose coming off the passenger side of the fuel rail, it will take you right to it.
