need advice about better cams that work best for my engine
I think I need to tell about my engine specs , so anybody can give me advice and suggestion about cams specs that will make more power than my cams now
Here it’s
-engine series D13B (sorry if this may be it was an old junk for you)
-Cyl. Head ; cnc ported & polished ; stainless valve with 3angle valve & seats job ; etc
-45mm 4 barrel weber ; 10 inch intake runner length (from velocity stack to end of intake manifold)
-76.5 mm custom JE Pistons ,14.2:1 compression and Totalseals gapless ring
-Crower custom rods ; (5.43inch center to center length)
-76 mm crankshaft stroke with knife edge counterweight ; (rod to stroke ratio 1.816 : 1)
-DC 4-1 header (40mm inside diameter ; 32 inch primary tubes length) ; open exhaust
-Custom alumunium flywheel 3.8kg
-and my local custom regrind camshaft
this cam advertised duration was 330 in./ 312 ex. ( the duration @ 0.05 inch valve lift was 270 in./262 ex. ); lobe separation was 108 ; Oh the valve lift was 10.2mm in. / 9.2mm ex. (the spec was on 0.2mm lash).
I put this cam on 106 intake centerline ,I use to rev it to 9300rpm . And it makes 171 hp (@ 7800 rpm) at flywheel (as this far tell me if i done something wrong on the set up)
But I want more than this !! (sigh) , because my friend makes 186 hp with totally same specs but only different on the cams (I don’t know what cam it was).
Give me advice and suggestion about the specific cam profifle should i use, tell me about the best duration (at 0.05 inch also) , the lift , Lobe separation .That will work best for my engine.
Because Im tired to spend money by trying a lot of grind type, I just want the best power for it
Regards
