So i've searched this and theres no clear answer and most the time the post say search the subject which just turns up with more people saying search. So anyways All the piston sights i've came across say that the H22a1 is a Iron bore engine why are people saying you need new sleeves if it has iron sleeves? i know you need them with the frm sleeves in the later model engine but why cant you run forged pistons in the h22a1 with no problems will the sleeves crack?

 

I am almost sure that H22's are not iron blocks.. They're Aluminum Blocks.. F-Series are iron, but not H.
I could be wrong though.. But that's what I thought at least..

 

h22a1 100% sure the bore is frm the f22 is iron

 

maybe this will help i was just saying the wiseco site said they were iron sleeved but a magnet wont stick and this is what they look like were pretty sure there not iron sleeved

 

all h series have FRM sleeves
