Default Anybody on here got one of those JDM VIS Mugen front bumper replicas?

I allready have the rest of a JDM frontend, and a WW kit is allready installed, just need the bumper. I was wondering what kind of quality it was. Am I gonna have a butload of time in prepping is and is it a flimsy POS? I guess I don't have much choice either way, I'm just trying to figure out what I have to look foward to. From past experience I know of VIS **** to be junk.

I know VIS carbon fibre is all good Its the most popular company in these parts for CF not sure about their fibre glass though. I would assume it is of good quality like their carbon is

Hey Luke how is the quality of that bumper any good? Has Chris had any problems with it? BTW what happened to him? He is a HT ghost, good to see you and your beautiful car are still around. You guys going to Niagara next year? BTW why is it my Evil Twin is always a step ahead. Man I gotta get a glass roof before niagara now, although I'm not feeling the headlights. His car looks awesome.

Fitment of the bumper was great. It does hang a bit low. He has hit the bumper a few times. No cracks yet...just scratches. Chris goes through phases with his car. All into one week, wanting to sell it the next. He should emerge next summer with an ITR motor (and maybe a glass top).

Yeah can relate my crx has sat for 2 years. I keep getting parts and just putting them in garage/basement/closet. Well I guess I will get the bumper, sounds like a pretty nice unit. Can't wait to see you guys this summer, Chris better not have a glass roof though, dammit. Either way, my new setup will make more power!!!

mine came from password with a small crack. Not bad enough to send it back and wait for a new one. Overall quality is pretty good.

You can mod anything to fit anything, but i reccomend just getting a JDM hhod and headlights, and then you are in there. It looks soo much better w/ jdm headlights anyway, and hood anyway.

I spend plenty of money on making it go fast. I want to have a nice looking car too. If I was a fast and furious *** I would be asking your opinion on a erubuni kit. I plan on spending about 12k on my car this year, 3k body 6k motor, and 3k wheels and suspension. My previous setup was probally faster than allot of people on here's cars, and my 4g63t Colt I had was definitly faster than allot of the cars on here. I've built allot of ****, and what I want is balance. It is my car, I will build it to my liking. If you don't like it don't reply.

Are you kidding me? Putting a JDM front end on a car is far from F&F. If he was going for F&F he would have asked about a Blitz kit or some bullshit like that. Next time know what you're talking about before you open your mouth, ****-for-brains.

lol?

I don't know which one of us you're talking about, so I'm going to assume you're talking to CRXBart.

For one, he doesn't have pictures of his car in this thread, so what are you basing your opinion on exactly?

Second, the difference between the Mugen/replica bodykit is that is it actually FUNCTIONAL as far as aerodynamics, etc. go. It was designed by Mugen...they're not jsut some random piece of **** car parts manufacturer. They make parts for Hondas that are designed to improve whatever aspect of the car that part is being used on, whether it be a header or a bumper cover. That's what the difference is.

Your opinion belongs to you and you have every right to think that any bodykit is rice, but that doesn't mean you're not being really ******* ignorant about what you consider a "bodykit" and a function air dam/bumper cover.

You souund like your idea of racing is street racing, so obviously, you are a loose cannon, trying to kill others out on the highway. I intend to attend some HPDEs, this year and possibly get into real racing not you backyard race people for money ****. Sure go turbo a b16 or whatever crap you have, and make so much power you can't get on it on the steeet or you loose traction for an 1/8 mile, all the while looking stock. If thats what you want go for it, but don't talk **** to me pal.

Wow, this thread is way off topic.

I wonder why VIS hasn't released a USDM version of this? Is it a way to boost JDM front end parts sales?

It would basicly be the same thing as a WW front if it was for a USDM front. I could be wrong, but I beleive that VIS does make one. If anybody wants a USDM WW front, mine's for sale cheap too check my for sale link in my sig.
